I read about Heather's great milkshake tradition the day before Lucy had a doctor's appointment last week. Knowing that she was about to get some immunizations, I decided to try out the healing properties of ice cream ourselves.

Let me report that it was a great success: both for the one who actually received four shots in her little legs; the sister who cried almost as hard as the victim at the mere thought of her sister feeling pain; and for the poor tired mommy who had two crying girls on her hands. Ice cream restored everyone's happiness. (Though Lucy still walked around patting her legs and saying "Owie" all day long. So sweetly pathetic.)

Thank you Heather for the great idea, and thank you Hasty Freez for being open to fulfill the ice cream needs of the public at 10 o'clock in the morning.

I was going to post photographic evidence of the chocolate ice cream cure, but Blogger won't let me post any pictures, so you'll have to wait for that.
